Students, faculty, staff, alumni and special guests gathered for the 88th coronation of Mister and Miss ĢƵ (KSU) in the William Exum Center on Oct. 19.

“I would like to thank the illustrious ĢƵ for providing not only love and support, but generations of pure excellence,” Dorian Wright, the 88th Miss ĢƵ, said. “I thank ĢƵ for its principles, its roots and its foundation.”

Wright’s record of service at KSU includes serving as secretary and first vice-president in the Student Government Association (SGA), as well as co-founding Street Scholarz.

“I am so blessed to be able to represent an institution like ĢƵ,” Damian Logan, Mister KSU, said. “To my 88th Miss ĢƵ, thank you for always being the person to keep me on my toes.”

Logan’s campus involvement includes participating with the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge team, serving on the Men’s Conference committee and alongside former Mister KSU Jalen Brown, serving as a class senator in SGA and becoming involved in KSU Student Ambassadors.

Wright is a senior from Indianapolis, Indiana. She majors in history with a focus on African American studies. Logan is a senior from Danville, Kentucky. He majors in English with a literature concentration and a speech minor.
