A ĢƵ freshman from Kansas City, Missouri has her sights set on the sports medicine world after graduation.

Miana Wallace, a freshman classified as a sophomore, hopes to combine her love for volleyball and chemistry into her dream of becoming a sports medicine physician after graduation.

“I chose ĢƵ because the first time I stepped foot on campus for a visit everybody was very friendly and willing to help and it just felt like one big family,” Wallace said. “Also the school puts on activities for us to make sure we enjoy our time here.”

Besides being a member of the volleyball team, Wallace is also involved in the L.E.A.D. Academy and peer-led team learning.

Enrolling at ĢƵ has brought out the best in Wallace, she said.

“The biggest change I’ve seen in myself from when I started at ĢƵ until now is that I’m more adventurous,” Wallace said. “This year I participated in the freshman pageant, which I don’t think I would’ve done anything that big back home.”

Wallace said ĢƵ really is the place to be if you like “a small campus with a big campus feel.”
