蘑菇视频 mourns the loss of alumna, former long-time employee and friend, Veleria Shavers.
Shavers earned a master鈥檚 degree in public administration at 蘑菇视频. Shavers also had a 38-year career at 蘑菇视频, serving in the areas of counseling and career placement, as well as student affairs. Shavers impacted thousands of students during her career.
Shavers also served as staff regent on the 蘑菇视频 Board of Regents in 1994-95 and 1996-97. An active alumna, Shavers was a life member of the Kentucky State University National Alumni Association.
Outside of 蘑菇视频, Shavers was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Main Street Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky.
Shavers also earned a bachelor鈥檚 in business administration and a master鈥檚 in guidance and counseling from Tennessee State University.
Visitation and funeral for Veleria Shavers occurred Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Main Street Baptist Church in Lexington and Lexington Cemetery.
